Removing unwanted button padding in Firefox

Recently I came across a issue with the

..and then apply CSS styles to set padding to zero for both the elements Firefox will automatically insert padding on the button. This is impossible to remove with standard CSS.

However there is an easy fix. Just add the following rule to your button element:

button::-moz-focus-inner {
border: 0;
padding: 0;
}

This should fix everything.

Psychology Solutions Partnership asked DeepBlueSky for a redesign of their old corporate website. I worked within current brand guidelines to update the company logo and designed and built a vibrant website.

Electric Bike retailer Powabyke needed a new website to reflect the innovative nature of their brand. I delivered a design with a modern aesthetic with clear navigation and strong typography.

Iona Cottage

The owners of Iona Cottage asked me to create a website to showcase their self catering cottage just outside of Bath. I designed and built a simple, contemporary website which makes good use of imagery and provides a clear route to information about the cottage.

The site is also built for optimal rankings in Google and as a result has helped to increase business enquires for Iona Cottage.

Traditional Boundaries

Traditional Boundaries needed a complete web presence to promote their woodland management business. I created a new company logo and designed a complete web site which reflected the traditional service values of the business.

I was also responsible for the complete web build including JavaScript integration and CSS coding. This site was created in my position at DeepBlueSky digital.

I’m (finally!) pleased to announce the launch of the all new aheadcreative.co.uk - my personal web design blog and portfolio.

It’s been a difficult task. Having just spent 8 hours at a computer at work, the last thing you want to do it to jump straight back on another computer but I managed it. I’ve designed, built and implemented this website and now it’s time to use it.

I intend to focus on the blog element of this website, posting tips, tutorials and information relating to the world of the web. So don’t be shy! Come back and check it out from time to time.
